Event description: The “Richmond Clover” is brand new event that it has been brought to you by Hamid & Shab Akbarian. They were the ride organizers of many 1200km events in Northen Virginia and Northeast Florida. Shab is the winner of 2017 American Randonneuring Award for her dedication to the Randonneuring sport and the riders. People call her “Queen of Volunteers”. The Richmond Clover has been designed to be a cloverleaf format. Ride starts by Richmond airport and traverse through cycling trail to James town ferry which it operates 24/7/365 days non-stop. Ferry is free of charge. After the ferry, route goes south ad cross North Carolina and back to Richmond. Day2 will be a scenic 300km around Richmond, day 3, takes riders north to historic Fredericksburg, and day 4 is a 200km loop in Richmond countryside. Event provides discounted room block on the event hotel and riders may arrange their own lodging. This allows less risk of financial loss to the riders. 

Event date: Thursday Oct 08, 2026 – Starting at 4am EST.

1-Registration: It will be opened from Aug 1st to Oct 1st. All non-paid registration will be cancelled after Oct 1st.

2-You must sign the online waiver to be able to ride: https://waiver.smartwaiver.com/v/rusavanorthern

Important note: Once you have signed the waiver successfully, you will receive an email confirmation. In that email, there is a link to download a copy of your signed waiver in PDF format. You have only 3 days to download a copy before the link gets expired.

Please download a copy and email it to info@cyclingforever.com. You can NOT start the ride if I did not receive your signed waiver. It is rider responsibility to make sure that I have their waiver. You must sign two waivers for 1000km+200km.

3-The Event Fee is per rider (x2 for tandem) for either 1000k, or 1200k. Payment instruction is below. *The registration Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. *

  • $175, If paid/received, by Sep 1st.
  • $225, If paid/received, between Sep 1st and Oct 1st.

Note: If you register and not pay until Sep 1 then your event fee will be $225.

Event Cancellation: If we have to cancel the event, riders will get a full refund minus a pro rata share of expenses we can’t recover – for example, lodging we can’t cancel, supplies we can’t return, etc.

  • Check or Bank wire transfer (contact me for inctrsuction).

No PayPal or any other 3rd party online payment methods and cash will be accepted. 

Note on Zellepay.com: Check with your bank if they have this service in their online banking system. Most of American based banks do have Zellepay service. 

Event fee Includes: 

  • A custom souvenir medal.
  • An event custom T-shirt
  • No drop bags since the route is a Cloverleaf.
  • An electronic Brevet Card.
  • RideWithGPS link.
  • An electronic cue-sheet generated from RideWithGPS.
  • Post-ride party food/drink.

Event fee does NOT include:

  • Riders accommodation before/during/after the ride.
  • Riders food/drink during the event.

**There will be a discounted block of rooms from Wednesday Oct 07 to Monday Oct 12, totaling 5 nights. There are only limited discounted rooms, and they are based on first come, first serve as riders registered & paid in full, discounted room rate will be expired on September 23rd, Reservation cancellations must be received by Hotel at least 48 Hours prior to arrival to avoid being charged one night’s room and tax.

Qualification: None, riders should assess their ability to ride a long distance of 1000km or 1200km.
